HonorHealth is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at Osborn Medical Center. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
- Review patient identification, orders, and history to ensure correct patient, procedure, imaging site, and protocols.
- Transport patients to and from the exam room and assist them into position using safe patient handling techniques and equipment.
- Perform CT procedures and observe patients during procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Administer contrast materials as required and initiate emergency response to contrast reactions as needed.
- Obtain and evaluate images for technical quality assurance factors, including image laterality marking and annotation.
- Utilize RIS, PACS, and other ancillary image management systems as needed.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily workflow for the department's activities.
- Maintain equipment in efficient operating order and perform and document all required quality control testing.
- Rotate throughout the department as staffing and volume dictate.
- Participate in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff as needed.
- Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe environment for patients and staff in assigned areas.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1 year of general radiology experience via employment or training required.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) or AZ Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required.
- Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
