Radiologic Technologist

SimonMed Imaging LLC is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems. You will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Radiology, Regional and/or site Manager, and will be required to arrange patients for radiological and/or DEXA examinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange patients for radiological and/or DEXA examinations.
- Produce radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.
- Prevent patient exposure to unnecessary radiation.
- Set up and use all necessary diagnostic equipment for exam completion in general diagnostic and fluoroscopy areas.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Demonstrates competency in the performance of job-related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services while providing excellent customer service.
- Utilizes and operates equipment and mechanical devices which provide for a functional, effective, and safe environment.
- Adheres to policies, procedures, guidelines relative to departmental operations.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and the public and be capable of establishing good working relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures for CT.
- Starts IVs for CT exams as applicable.
- Assists the technologist with patient throughput, exam set-up, and injection materials.
- Observe and learn CT procedures for patient screening, table set-up, positioning, and exam selection as directed by the technologist.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program in AMA approved school.
- Requires registration as a Radiologic Technologist by the A.R.R.T.
- Requires registration as a Certified Radiologic Technologist by the State.
- Valid "hands-on" CPR certification.
- 3 years of Radiological Imaging experience preferred.
Working Conditions
This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking. Good visual and auditory acuity as well as good manual dexterity and the ability to be readily understood are essential. Must be able to work in an environment with multiple deadlines and priorities. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
