About Sasha Bruce Youthwork Inc:

We are the leading provider of homeless youth services in the DC Region, dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment for our clients.

As a Homeless Youth Services Specialist at Sasha Bruce Youthwork Inc, you will be responsible for monitoring the safety and conduct of house residents; providing clinical and crisis intervention, as needed. This is a weekend-only position, Saturday and Sunday, 3-11 PM EST.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement weekday activity schedules that meet the needs of our residents.
  • Conduct regular house check inspections to ensure resident safety and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of house activities and resident progress.
  • Provide on-site counseling and crisis intervention as needed.
  • Ensure supervision of residents, enforcing house rules and promoting a safe living environment.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with program directors to ensure effective communication and service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; 2-3 years of relevant experience in Human Services or a related field.
  • Strong spoken and written English language skills, including report writing.
  • Prior experience working with adolescents/young adults and families dealing with trauma, crisis, and community stress.
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • A valid Driver's License and passing required DC clearances.
