Pharmacy Technician Job Description

Actalent is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prescriptions and orders
  • Sort, stock, and label medications, monitoring inventory levels to prevent shortages
  • Respond to patient and healthcare provider inquiries, providing accurate information and referring complex questions to pharmacists
  • Comply with regulations and procedures to maintain a clean and safe pharmacy environment
  • Process prescriptions electronically, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Requirements:
  • CPhT Current License
  • 1 year of Pharmacy Tech Experience (Minimum)
  • BLS (or willing to receive if offered position, must have before starting)
