Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Community Use Scheduler to join our team at Montgomery College. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the use of college facilities, including conference centers, breakout rooms, and classrooms, for various events and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign and schedule space requests for internal and external customers, including community members, students, faculty, staff, and government agencies.
  • Determine eligibility for space use based on the College's policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with various stakeholders, including administrators, faculty, staff, and external organizations, to arrange for room spaces and provide information.
  • Input event information into the shared Community Use Calendar and collaborate with support team members for review and consideration.
  • Generate revenue by calculating and creating customer invoices, ensuring timely payment, and tracking expenses.
  • Meet with Facilities Teams to ensure event requirements are understood and covered by the appropriate shifts.
  • Perform general administrative support work, including answering phones, delivering mail, and updating the facilities website.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Two years of experience with computer software applications, office operations, report writing, and telephone etiquette.
  • The equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and expertise to perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
