This tenure-track position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our Health Promotion and Exercise Science department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach major requirement courses in the Health and Wellness Management program and other courses as assigned
  • Recruit and manage internship sites for the Health and Wellness Management capstone course
  • Curricular development of a Health and Wellness Management track in Sports Management
  • Advise students and engage in creative and professional activities
Qualifications
  • Terminal degree (PhD, EdD or equivalent) in health and wellness management, sports management, exercise science or related field
  • Documented experience in curriculum development relevant to sports management
  • Teaching experience at a four-year university/college
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for first-generation and under-represented groups
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching in the areas of health and wellness management, sports management, exercise science and wellness, public/community health
  • Previous experience supervising undergraduate interns
  • Experience working collaboratively with fellow faculty and community partners, and experience with service or experiential learning
