At Google, we manage a diverse array of research initiatives focused on fundamental studies, innovative product development, and infrastructure objectives. As a Research Scientist, you will design and execute large-scale experiments, swiftly implementing promising concepts while adhering to project timelines and deliverables. You will apply cutting-edge theories to create new and enhanced products, processes, or technologies. Your responsibilities will encompass everything from experiment design and prototype development to architectural design, tackling real-world challenges across various domains of computer science, including machine learning, data analysis, natural language processing, and performance evaluation of hardware and software.
In this role, you will also engage with the broader research community, sharing and publishing your insights derived from both internal projects and collaborations with academic institutions worldwide.
This position offers a competitive base salary range of $136,000 to $200,000, complemented by bonuses, equity, and benefits. Salary is determined by role, level, and location, with individual compensation reflecting job-related skills, experience, and education.
Responsibilities- Produce research publications to disseminate and amplify the impact of research findings within the team and the wider research community.
- Facilitate the growth of research initiatives across teams by sharing insights on research trends and best practices.
- Establish the data framework, design, and evaluation metrics for research solution development and implementation with minimal oversight.
- Identify emerging research areas through collaboration with internal and external partners, contributing to the development of long-term research strategies.
- Conduct experiments based on research inquiries, developing prototypes or simulations to assess research impact and refine methodologies.
