As a Medical Office Assistant with Maximus, you will play a vital role in supporting the Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting providers and veterans on exam days, updating case statuses, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Arrive 30 minutes prior to scheduled exams to prepare the waiting area and ensure a smooth experience for veterans.
- Display flags, veteran materials, and VES signs in the provider's waiting area to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Greet each veteran immediately, obtain medical history, and provide a sign-in sheet.
- Assist providers with worksheets, medical records, and vital signs, and document updates in the OMS system.
- Keep all veteran information private and confidential, and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- One to two years of training or certification in the medical field preferred.
- CPR certification preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of medical terminology and advanced verbal and interpersonal skills.
