Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our Dermatology team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care and supporting our clinicians in providing exceptional service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Tasks: Prepare patients for office visits, collect and document patient data, and assist with clinical procedures such as diagnostic tests and medication administration.
  • Practice Management Activities: Maintain patient schedules, respond to incoming messages, and facilitate follow-up duties on patient plans of care.
  • Teamwork and Leadership: Demonstrate flexibility and ability to reprioritize workflow, assist with onboarding new hires, and contribute to a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Basic Life Support certification within 1 month of hire
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical assistant position in a dermatology setting
  • Current National Medical Assistant Certification
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
