POSITION OBJECTIVE

The aim is to foster and sustain a learning environment that cultivates high aspirations and excitement for education by integrating critical thinking, practical application, interpersonal skills, and technology into a cohesive curriculum and assessment framework, leading to measurable improvements in student performance to fulfill district and state educational standards.

KEY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The Teacher will undertake the following essential responsibilities:

Assessment

Employ assessment methodologies (both traditional and innovative) that align with the curriculum and standards to support the ongoing development of each learner.

Communication

Utilize effective communication strategies with students, parents, and all relevant stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement

Participate in structured ongoing professional development for personal and institutional growth.

Critical Thinking

Implement suitable techniques and strategies that foster and enhance students' critical, creative, and evaluative thinking skills.

Diversity

Apply appropriate instructional methods and resources that reflect the diverse cultures, learning preferences, special requirements, and socio-economic backgrounds of students.

Ethics and Regulations

Adhere to the terms of any relevant written agreements and uphold the ethical standards and principles of professional conduct in the education sector, while assisting in the enforcement of all applicable federal, state, and district regulations.

Human Development and Learning

Leverage an understanding of human development and learning processes to create a supportive educational atmosphere that promotes the intellectual, personal, and social growth of all students.

Subject Matter Expertise

Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter being taught.

Learning Environments

Develop a classroom management system that enforces appropriate discipline and fosters a positive learning atmosphere where students are actively engaged in their education, social interactions, collaborative learning, and self-motivation.

Planning

Strategically plan, align, implement, and assess effective instructional practices across various learning environments.

Role of the Educator

Collaborate with colleagues, parents, community members, and other stakeholders to enhance the educational experiences of students.

Technology Integration

Incorporate relevant technology into teaching and learning activities.

ESOL Requirement

Complete the necessary training and obtain the endorsement as stipulated in state education regulations if assigned to work with Limited English Proficient (LEP) students.

Record Keeping

Maintain accurate school records and prepare and submit reports as mandated by law and state board regulations.

Property Management

Ensure accountability for all school property (keys, records, reports, personal computers, etc.) as directed by the principal or superintendent according to state board regulations.

Additional Responsibilities

Engage in and promote all activities in compliance with equal employment and non-discrimination policies. Adhere to established safety protocols. Execute other duties as assigned by the principal.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Valid State of Florida teaching certification.
  • Proficiency in computer skills as required for the role.
