Key Responsibilities
  • Instructional Leadership
    • Develop and implement effective instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of special education students.
    • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure seamless delivery of educational services.
  • Student Support
    • Provide individualized support to students with special needs, including those with Individual Graduation Plans (IGPs) and Individual Educational Plans (IEPs).
    • Work closely with school administrators to ensure compliance with national, state, and district regulations.

Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Certification
    • Appropriate Teacher's certification.
  • Skills and Experience
    • Knowledge of secondary education principles and curriculum.
    • Ability to analyze and use data to drive program improvement.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Previous experience working with over-age and at-risk youth is preferred.
