POSITION OVERVIEW:


The Financial Reporting Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the monthly consolidation closing activities, conducting comprehensive financial statement evaluations, aiding in the formulation and assessment of the Controller's Book, and reviewing schedules pertinent to SEC disclosures, including footnotes, Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A), and the Cash Flow Statement.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Review reporting schedules and assist in the preparation of the Cash Flow Statement, focusing on non-controlling liabilities, other income, goodwill, and more.
2. Prepare and analyze Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets, including variance assessments.
3. Ensure the timely delivery of the Controller's Book, which is utilized by senior management, by coordinating compilation efforts, verifying accuracy and completeness, and preparing/reviewing specific schedules.
4. Oversee the Consolidation Journal Entry process.
5. Maintain and update reporting package schedules regularly.
6. Act as a liaison with PWC and the External Reporting team for requests, including developing timelines for deliverables.
7. Collaborate with various departments such as Tax, Treasury, Corporate General Ledger, Corporate Development, and Investor Relations.
8. Engage with business unit controllers to ensure effective communication of investment activities and proper transaction recording.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration is required.

3-5 years of relevant public accounting experience in a Big 4 or large national firm with a robust audit client portfolio.

Proficiency in U.S. GAAP/IFRS, SOX Compliance, and SEC regulations is essential.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with analytical and technical research capabilities.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Demonstrated presentation and supervisory abilities.
Highly motivated with the capacity to work independently to achieve objectives.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of advanced Excel functions is required.
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory.
CPA certification or completion of the examination is advantageous.
