Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accounting Specialist:

  • Maintain and oversee financial documentation, including general ledger entries, receivables, payables, and payroll records.
  • Ensure accuracy by reconciling bank statements and other financial transactions.
  • Assist in generating financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Evaluate financial data and prepare reports for management, identifying discrepancies and trends.
  • Update and manage fixed asset records, including depreciation schedules.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Analyze expense and revenue patterns and suggest cost-reduction strategies.
  • Facilitate tax return preparation and ensure adherence to tax laws.
  • Provide necessary financial information for internal and external audits.
  • Help implement and maintain accounting systems and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure accurate financial transaction recording.
  • Stay informed on accounting standards, regulations, and industry developments to maintain compliance and best practices.
  • Assist with special financial analysis and projects as required.
  • Uphold confidentiality of financial data and demonstrate ethical conduct in all financial dealings.

Qualifications for the Senior Accounting Specialist:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
