Position Summary:

ICMS is currently seeking a courteous and professional Part-Time Security Guard I/Concierge to supervise a federal facility. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality service, demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, and appreciate the significance of outstanding customer service. A confident demeanor and excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential for this role. Flexibility to cover additional shifts during the week and on holidays may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome visitors upon entry and direct them to their designated locations.
  • Address inquiries and manage customer expectations with politeness and friendliness.
  • Authenticate access badges.
  • Monitor the facility's condition and alert appropriate personnel regarding any issues.
  • Conduct evening patrols to ensure security of access and egress, while monitoring parking areas and security cameras for any irregularities.
  • Maintain a record of visitors and coordinate with onsite staff for escorting duties.
  • Answer phone calls and oversee the security office operations.
  • Manage all keys, including logging them in and out.
  • Provide a detailed log report at the end of each shift, ensuring all details are accurately recorded.
  • Ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
  • May be required to lift up to 25 lbs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Conduct seven (45-minute) foot patrols/tours during an 8-hour shift.
  • Estimated walking distance of 6-8 miles.
  • Ability to utilize stairwells - Climbing required.
  • Capability to use a 6ft ladder - Climbing required.
  • Ability to operate a snow shovel - Requires balance and upper body twisting.
  • Must be physically capable of performing CPR.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a thorough background check.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a client-facing role.
  • Basic computer literacy and a knack for technology.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of local attractions and services.
  • Polite, friendly, and confident demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
