ICMS is currently seeking a courteous and professional Part-Time Security Officer I/Concierge to supervise a federal facility, ensuring the delivery of high-quality service, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong understanding of exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a confident demeanor and demonstrate outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. Additional coverage may be required for other shifts during the week and on holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome visitors upon their arrival and direct them to their designated areas.
  • Address important inquiries and manage customer expectations in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Verify access credentials.
  • Monitor the condition of the building and alert the appropriate facilities or custodial personnel regarding any issues.
  • Conduct evening inspections to ensure the security of access and egress points. Oversee parking areas and security cameras for any irregularities or security concerns.
  • Maintain a record of visitors and coordinate with onsite personnel for escorting duties.
  • Answer phone calls and oversee the security office operations.
  • Manage all keys, including logging them in and out.
  • Provide a detailed log report at the conclusion of each shift, ensuring all details are accurately recorded.
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
  • May be required to lift up to 25 lbs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Conduct seven (45-minute) foot patrols/tours during an 8-hour shift.
  • Estimated total walking distance is between 6-8 miles.
  • Must utilize stairwells - Climbing required.
  • Ability to use a 6ft ladder - Climbing required.
  • Ability to operate a snow shovel - Balance and upper body twisting required.
  • Security personnel must be physically capable of performing CPR.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of client-facing experience.
  • Basic computer literacy and aptitude for technology.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of local attractions and establishments.
  • Polite, friendly, and self-assured demeanor.
  • Strong multitasking and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
