We are seeking a skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our team at Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Keller. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leadership to our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Assume responsibility for the hospital and ensure the provision of safe and effective patient care after hours, on weekends, and on holidays.
- Directly supervise nurses and ensure the nursing department staff performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
- Manage staffing plans, nursing hours per patient day, and quality of work of nursing staff.
- Ensure occurrence of appropriate documentation, including documentation of medical necessity, by staff in medical records.
- Promote rehabilitation nursing philosophy and ensure limited agency usage and overtime hours by managing and monitoring the nursing schedule.
- Graduate of accredited registered nurse program, bachelor's degree preferred.
- Current unrestricted licensure in the state.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support required.
- Current Advance Cardiac Life Support required.
- Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) required.
- Minimum of two years of previous nursing management required.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, evaluate, and direct activities of clinical personnel.
Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Keller is a 36-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and Texas Health Resources. We strive to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those we serve through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs.
