Job Summary:

The Colville Tribes is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Patient Care Specialist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients, working under the direction of the Medical Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications, performing diagnostic testing, and providing monitoring and pain management as needed.
  • Record patient medical histories, symptoms, and treatment plans.
  • Supervise Medical Assistants and act as a lead mentor for MA trainees.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Identify and assess resource utilization and safety issues, taking appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nursing Degree or Bachelor of Science Nursing Degree.
  • Two years clinical nursing experience.
  • Current ACLS/BLS/PALS certification.
  • Wound Care Certified CWCN (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of established professional nursing concepts and all nursing procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of HIPAA, and Privacy regulations.
  • Medical terminology is required for this position.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously, with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to effectively interact with a variety of patients, patients' families, and employees in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently with good decision-making skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Sitting, weightlifting up to 50 pounds, bending/stooping, twisting, reaching, operation of equipment tools, foot controls, etc.
  • Requires sufficient hand-eye-arm coordination utilized to operate a variety of general office equipment.
  • Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers.
  • Requires auditory ability to carry on conversations over the phone and in person.
