Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Payable: Prepare, review, and process invoices for payment, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
  • Cash Handling: Receive and review daily cash/check deposits and prepare them for submission to the State Treasurer's Office.
  • Financial Analysis: Monitor and track financial information, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Travel Arrangements: Coordinate airline reservations and travel arrangements for department employees, prioritizing cost-effective options.
  • P-Card Management: Process P-Card transactions, maintain cardholder information, and ensure compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • One year of general accounting experience, or 30 semester hours of accounting, business, or related courses from an accredited college or university.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, including the Arizona Financial Information System (AFIS).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
