About the Role

Framatome is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Lynchburg, VA. As an Early Career Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the proven team in the Products and Engineering Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform analysis and evaluation to ensure that component design and/or repair meet the requirements of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code for stress and fatigue.
  • Conduct detailed finite element analysis and hand calculations when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy.
Requirements
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
  • 2+ years of experience in an engineering role.
  • Professional Engineer's License (obtained or obtaining within 2 years).
  • Strong technical problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and nuclear industry experience.
