Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Special Projects Technician to join our team at Moore's Electrical & Mechanical. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and executing special HVAC projects, including system replacements, retrofits, custom installations, and large-scale equipment upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute special HVAC projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues that arise throughout the installation process.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project success.
  • Perform detailed system inspections and tests to verify compliance with safety standards and building codes.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians as needed.
  • Communicate project updates and technical issues to clients in a clear, professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
  • Safely operate company vehicles and adhere to all safety requirements.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC, with an emphasis on special projects, complex systems, or system replacements.
  • Universal EPA certification.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units and split systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including rooftops, mechanical rooms, and confined spaces.
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
