Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to support the development, specification, design, and testing of machinery and equipment related to our Engineered Machinery products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design & Analysis: Design mechanical components and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor and Vault 2020 or later. Conduct analysis for specific items or projects, such as bearing life calculations and timing diagrams.
  • Design Reviews: Peer review new designs and adaptations of existing designs. Participate in and lead cross-functional design reviews as required.
  • Project Ownership: Manage small-scale projects from concept through implementation. Obtain approval from senior engineers as needed.
  • Value Engineering: Optimize designs to meet cost targets while maintaining or improving functionality, under limited supervision.
  • Documentation: Compile machine packages including Bills of Material (BOM), drawings, and recommended spares lists, according to customer specifications. Create and maintain Product Line BOMs.
  • Support: Provide technical support for assembly, service, and sales teams. Address inquiries related to mechanical design items from in-house teams and field personnel. Support purchasing and production control with design-related inquiries.
  • Non-Conformance Evaluation: Evaluate non-conforming parts and approve substitutions for the product line.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3D solid modeling and drafting software such as Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, or ProE. Working knowledge of industry design drafting standards such as ANSI Y14.5 (1994 or later). Experience in the design of mechanical machinery and parts for shop fabrication. Understanding of materials, finishes, and engineering principles.
  • Communication: Strong technical communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Software Proficiency: Competent in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
