Position Overview
The Grease Collection Vehicle Operator plays a crucial role in the operation of a specialized truck dedicated to the collection of cooking oil, ensuring top-notch service delivery to our clientele.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently pump or load grease containers, maintaining cleanliness of both the container and the surrounding area; ensure the container is returned with the screen and lock secured; document any damages to the container or collection area; accurately complete route documentation with customer acknowledgment.
- Adhere to the assigned collection route diligently.
- Maintain the company vehicle in a clean and operational state.
- Conduct all necessary safety inspections and checks of the vehicle; operate the vehicle in compliance with state, federal, and local regulations, as well as company policies; observe all safety protocols established by the company.
- Attend all mandatory safety meetings; may be invited to participate in the Safety Committee.
- Foster excellent customer relationships by exhibiting a professional demeanor and appearance.
- Complete all required company documentation in accordance with company standards (including route tickets, vehicle inspection reports, accident documentation, mileage logs, service forms, etc.).
- Update and maintain the vehicle condition report on a daily basis.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 21 years with a clean driving record.
- At least 2 years of experience operating a vehicle similar to a grease collection truck.
- Possession of a current CDL A or B license with appropriate endorsements.
- Must be registered on the appropriate regulatory platform.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a route-based role within a customer-focused environment is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
- Dependable and reliable, with the flexibility to work evenings and/or weekends as required.
- Strong mathematical and communication skills.
- Knowledge of safe operation and general maintenance of commercial motor vehicles.
