About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Tower Technician I at MasTec Communications Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and operating wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecommunications equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain telecommunications equipment and systems, including wired and wireless networks, fiber optic cables, and microwave systems.
  • Conduct site assessments and develop plans for equipment installation and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist in the assembly and installation of tower structures, including monopoles, self-support towers, and guyed towers.
  • Install and maintain antennas, transmission lines, and other equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control processes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 8 years of experience in telecommunications equipment installation and maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out instructions per prints.
  • Working knowledge of safety standards and regulations, including OSHA, TIA10-48, NATE CTS, and ANSI.
  • Ability to climb towers and ladders at various heights.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record meeting company policy conditions.
  • Ability to travel extensively for job-related functions.
