Job Summary

Betacom is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tower Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications towers and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Lead and assist in the construction, installation, and maintenance of communications towers and support structures, as well as related telecommunications equipment.
  • Safety Management: Ensure crew members are in compliance with company and customer safety requirements, verify and ensure all tools and rigging gear are safe to use, and complete required daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA's).
  • Tower Climbing and Rigging: Climb and work on communications towers for the purpose of installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems equipment, and safely run a winch/cathead.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair telecommunications equipment, including antennas, RRH's, ground kits, RET systems, and microwave dishes.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a 4-man tower crew safely and within established budgetary requirements, and act as a team lead and mentor to less experienced Tower Technicians.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3 to 4 years of industry experience.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, reading and writing skills, good computer skills, and ability to lift over 70 pounds.
  • Training: ComTrain, OSHA10, RF Awareness Training, First AID/CPR trained.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Experience with Anritsu Site Master, Andrew, PPC, tower mapping and antenna equipment, and ability to develop and write a detailed Method of Procedure (MOP) for a job/project.
