We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flooring Division Manager to join our Reconstruction team at SERVPRO Global DRT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the flooring division, including managing day-to-day operations and ensuring the successful execution of all flooring projects.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Lead and manage the flooring division, encompassing all aspects of sales, installation, and maintenance of flooring products such as hardwood, vinyl, tile, carpet, laminate, and other specialty flooring.
- Oversee procurement and inventory management of flooring materials, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely delivery.
- Operations & Project Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the flooring division, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control.
- Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and resources for flooring installation projects with Project Managers, ensuring efficient use of labor and materials.
- Financial Management
- Prepare and manage the division budget, ensuring financial goals are met.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and codes.
- Promote a culture of safety within the division, ensuring that all team members adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices and share with the team.
- Client Services
- Advise clients on best flooring solutions based on their needs, preferences, and budget.
- Partner with Project Engineers to ensure exceptional customer service by addressing client needs and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Minimum of 5+ years prior experience in the flooring industry with a deep understanding of various flooring products and installation methods.
- Having a C-15 license is a bonus but not required.
- Self-starter & proactive.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft project.
- Customer service oriented with a proactive, 'can do', positive attitude.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and resolving disputes.
- Financial and job cost accounting experience required.
- Construction management experience required.
- Deep understanding of flooring products, installation processes, and the ability to drive sales and profitability.
- Honest & transparent: never hide the bad news, when something goes wrong, or mistakes happen, you escalate it and help to solve it calmly and transparently.
- Not afraid to jump in where needed - no task is too big or too small for you, and you are willing to help your team before you are asked.
- Flexibility to travel.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends, when necessary.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- You are authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
