Community Support Specialist

Katahdin Friends INC seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Community Advocate. This full-time role involves supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live regular lives in their communities. As a Community Advocate, you will work closely with our clients to provide support and assistance in various aspects of their daily lives.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Maine driver's license. A registered and insured vehicle is also required. If you are passionate about making a difference in people's lives and have excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently in their own homes.
- Assist with daily tasks, such as grocery shopping and household chores.
- Provide transportation to appointments and social events.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families.
