Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans to engage various stakeholders, including NASA personnel, industry partners, and the general public.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Manage and coordinate public outreach events, including logistics, exhibit design, and volunteer management.
  • Develop and disseminate outreach materials, including press releases, social media content, and newsletters.
  • Collaborate with the PPE project team to develop and implement communication strategies that align with NASA's overall mission and goals.
  • Provide support for media relations, including responding to inquiries and developing media kits.
  • Generate routine and ad-hoc reports to OCOMM management and customers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, multimedia, communications, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a NASA-related field.
  • Proven experience in social media management and content creation.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, including writing and editing.
  • Proficient in AP style and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this position include the ability to work in an office environment and operate a motor vehicle. Employees must be able to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and in writing. Standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds may be required.
