The CORT Furniture Outlet team is seeking a dedicated, full-time sales floor representative who is self-driven and focused on customer satisfaction. This role serves as a foundational position aimed at preparing the Sales Floor Representative for future advancement to the Assistant Manager position within the organization.

CORT Furniture Outlet specializes in offering both new and previously leased furnishings at exceptional prices, providing customers with the chance to acquire the styles and quality they desire at a fraction of the cost.

This position is ideal for energetic sales professionals who thrive in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

  • Engage with customers to assess their needs and inform them about the advantages of purchasing previously rented furniture.
  • Maximize revenue opportunities through effective sales techniques.
  • Maintain the store's appearance, merchandising, and pricing in accordance with company standards.
  • Utilize computer systems to create proposals, prepare sales agreements, and gather necessary information from customers to finalize sales.
  • Develop and nurture customer relationships to generate future sales opportunities.
  • Assist in driving traffic to the Outlet through various marketing strategies.

Compensation
The pay for this position is $16.00 per hour, in addition to a 5% commission on delivered merchandise.

Work Schedule
This role requires availability from Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with Sundays and Mondays off as the Outlet is closed on those days.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, or at least one year of retail experience without a diploma.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week with flexible hours to support showroom operations, sales events, and networking functions.
  • Strong communication and reasoning skills, along with proficiency in computer usage.
  • Capability to lift and move furniture.
  • Familiarity with social media or marketing experience is preferred.
  • Must successfully pass background checks and drug screening as a condition of employment.
