Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team As an essential member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound technology.

Key Responsibilities

Positioning patients and selecting the optimal technical factors and equipment to obtain high-quality scans

Maintaining patient safety and confidentiality throughout each procedure

Operating portable ultrasound equipment as needed to perform procedures throughout the hospital

Assisting physicians with recommendations for obtaining optimal studies by suggesting selections for technical factors

Delivering exceptional patient care in accordance with department standards

Preparing ultrasound rooms with necessary supplies and equipment before each procedure

Providing timely and effective communication with patients, families and healthcare teams

Education and Experience Required

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in ultrasound technology and be ARDMS registry eligible. A completed ARDMS registry within the first year of employment is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

High level of technical knowledge and ability to make diagnostic judgments when scanning

Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families and healthcare teams

Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in fast-paced environments

Salary

This part-time position offers a competitive salary of approximately $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
