Job Overview

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join their team in Justice, Illinois.

This is a part-time opportunity with 20 hours of work per week. The selected candidate will be responsible for positioning and immobilizing patients to ensure accurate anatomy or blood vessels being examined are in the correct profile and projection.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to select technical factors to ensure high-quality images with the lowest possible dose to the patient.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in complex interventional procedures such as de-clotting of blood vessels, UFE, Venous ablations, and other peripheral vascular procedures.
  • Perform procedures with Interventional Radiologists, vascular surgeons, neuro radiologists, neurosurgeons, and other specialists.
  • Position patients in proper positions to radiographically demonstrate correct anatomy.
  • Obtain radiographic DSA and DA images for interventional procedures and transmit all images to PACS for interpretation by the radiologist.
  • Assist in the performance of complex interventional endovascular neurological procedures.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, candidates must have an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology degree and be ARRT registered. They should also possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work well in a team environment, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance and use patient handling equipment when necessary. They should also be able to stand for long periods of time while wearing a lead apron.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
