Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health in Justice, Illinois. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations and contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

About the Role
  • Perform ultrasound examinations on patients with various medical conditions, using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques.
  • Position patients correctly and select optimal technical factors and equipment to obtain high-quality images.
  • Document patient information, examination results, and any notable findings for radiologists to interpret.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ultrasound technology, imaging protocols, and best practices in diagnostic sonography.
Requirements
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in diagnostic sonography, preferably in an acute care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform physical demands of the job.
