We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Engineer to join our team as a Surfacing Generator Operator. As a key member of our optical manufacturing department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our surfacing generators, as well as preparing lenses for production.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of optical manufacturing principles and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for calibrating equipment, cleaning and preparing equipment for the next production day, and identifying lens materials, base curves, and sizes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain surfacing generators
  • Prepare lenses for production
  • Calibrate equipment
  • Clean and prepare equipment for the next production day

  • Understand progressive designs, markings, SV, and flat tops
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
