Job Summary

At American Vision Partners, we are seeking a skilled Optician to join our team. As an Optician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring that our patients receive the best possible eye care experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret prescriptions and assist patients in selecting the perfect eyewear, consulting with prescribing physicians as needed.
  • Take precise optical measurements to prepare eyewear for our patients.
  • Order eyewear from our laboratory based on prescriptions and patient preferences.
  • Perform quality inspections of lenses and frames to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Adjust eyewear to fit our patients perfectly, providing guidance on proper cleaning and handling.
  • Maintain our equipment and inventory of supplies to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous optical experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • ABO and NCLE certification a plus, with a requirement to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Licensed Dispensing Optician (LDO) a plus.
  • Detailed-oriented, reliable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
