Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, assemble, and install vehicle components according to specified standards.
  • Utilize and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) effectively.
  • Interpret schematics and work orders accurately.
  • Employ basic hand tools and specialized equipment competently.
  • Learn to operate all relevant equipment within the work area.
  • Conduct rework as necessary and support Altec Production System initiatives.
  • Be adaptable to move across different work areas to meet production demands.
  • Install vehicle units and associated components.
  • Test installed components for functionality.
  • Adhere to established safety, environmental, and quality protocols.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and manage tools and equipment.
  • Keep accurate daily time records and perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend is essential.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred.
  • Vocational training may substitute for experience.
  • Familiarity with reading tape measures, blueprints, and schematics is advantageous.
  • General knowledge in mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing processes is desired.
