Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, assemble, and install vehicle components according to specified standards.
  • Utilize and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) properly.
  • Interpret schematics and work orders effectively.
  • Employ basic hand tools and specialized equipment as needed.
  • Learn to operate all equipment within the designated work area.
  • Conduct rework tasks as necessary.
  • Support Altec Production System (APS) initiatives and participate in relevant events.
  • Flexibly move to different work areas to meet production demands.
  • Install and test vehicle components and accessories.
  • Adhere to established safety, environmental, and quality protocols.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and manage tools and equipment.
  • Keep accurate daily time records.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions is essential.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred.
  • Vocational training may substitute for experience.
  • Familiarity with reading tape measures, blueprints, and schematics is advantageous.
  • General knowledge in mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing processes is desired.

Work Environment:

Maintain a tidy workspace and assist colleagues as needed. Participation in continuous improvement events may be required. Shift work may also be necessary.
