Job Summary:

Hitachi Energy is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and testing electrical equipment, ensuring high-quality products that meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble sub-assemblies and complete assemblies using hand and power tools, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Set up machines and prepare assembly for painting.
  • Responsible for correct and neat appearance of wiring and assembly, adjustments, operation, and lubrication of all assemblies.
  • Read and interpret detail and assembly drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Move and load material and product as necessary.
  • Report needed maintenance and repairs of machine tools to the supervisor.
  • Prepare daily timecard and reports to supervisor when assembly is complete.
  • Use hand trucks, power trucks, or other devices to move equipment, material, etc.
  • Responsible for cleaning and maintaining own work area and equipment.
  • Assist with on-the-job training requirements and perform other duties of equal or lower classification as directed.
  • Responsible for safe work practices and proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Count pieces, report shortages, excesses, spoilage, and malfunctions to the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High school degree or GED required.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
