Publishing Specialist Job Description

Job Title: Publishing Specialist

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid)

Duration: 6-month contract

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Publishing Specialist to join our team. As a Publishing Specialist, you will be responsible for updating data, formatting, layout, design, and content for print, PDF, and presentation materials based on established templates in PowerPoint using the Seismic platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update and create charts, graphs, templates, and exhibits to be used in communications materials, websites, and/or presentations.
  • Prepare presentation and notes files for use in meetings and webcasts.
  • Customize materials based on client needs while still applying brand, style, and data presentation guidelines.
  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 (advanced) and Microsoft Excel (intermediate; charting skills critical).
  • Demonstrate strong detail orientation, process orientation, organizational, and multi-tasking skills; ability to effectively manage an unpredictable workload and meet established deadlines.
  • Demonstrate a keen ability to problem solve and manage ambiguity.
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking, an eye for detail, and ability to spot trends and variances in data; able to work with large volumes of data from multiple sources.
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate with diverse working styles and with team members across business units; initiative to work and learn independently; proactively contribute to department goals; and ability to lead others while maintaining effective business relationships with associates throughout the organization.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn new applications, as needed.
