Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Civil Coordinator to join our team in Southern California. As a key member of our project delivery team, you'll provide critical support to project engineers on transportation projects, working closely with public transportation clients to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project engineers to develop detailed designs for urban and rural roadway projects.
  • Take ownership of alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, and plan development, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist in creating and submitting technical reports, specifications, and calculations, communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Support senior engineers with site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation, and graphic presentation.
  • Perform site layout, grading, utility layout, and drainage, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Complete routine engineering assignments, applying standard techniques and procedures to deliver results.
  • Work independently on small projects or assist senior engineers on larger projects, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
  • Perform administrative duties associated with project management, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
  • A strong attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture.
  • Experience with MicroStation, InRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • EIT certification is strongly preferred, or the ability to obtain within 12 months. Candidates without EIT certification will be considered for the Coordinator role and expected to obtain EIT for career progression.
  • Previous work experience with Cal Trans/Local Cities projects (studies and design) is preferred.
