Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Housing Administration Specialist to join our team at Be Staffing Solutions, LLC. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP) in accordance with HUD regulations, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all aspects of program administration.
  • Conduct eligibility interviews with applicants, determine eligibility, and document family composition, citizenship, and social security numbers.
  • Calculate Adjusted Income correctly in accordance with HUD rules and regulations.
  • Determine Annual Income, obtain Enterprise Income Verification (EIV), and calculate Total Tenant Payment (TTP).
  • Issue Vouchers, brief Voucher-holders on housing opportunities, and set up complete and accurate files with participant-supplied documents.
  • Process Interim Adjustments, rent increases, and re-certifications, including working with Inspectors to schedule and conduct annual and special inspections.
  • Communicate effectively with participants, landlords, and other employees, using normal tact and professional courtesy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of college coursework preferred; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Three years of experience in public housing, Housing Choice Voucher Program, case management, apartment management, HCVP Call Center, or calculation experience, i.e., loan processing, tax preparation, or other basic accounting experience.
  • Certification in Income, Rent, and Voucher program administration required within the first year of employment.
  • Bondable and valid Texas driver's license or obtain such within the first thirty days of employment.

Working Conditions

The majority of work is performed according to existing procedures or written guidelines, such as HUD regulations, handbooks, desk references, or existing records. Independent judgment is frequently used in making recommendations and decisions.

Estimated Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
