Creative Financial Staffing is partnering with a leading service company to find a Payroll Manager to join their team. This role requires experience with prevailing wage and certified payroll.

- The Company: Our client is a renowned privately owned construction company with a strong reputation in their niche.
- The Opportunity: The Controller is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual who can thrive in an autonomous position with opportunities for process improvement.
- The Position: The Payroll Manager will be responsible for owning the payroll process, handling weekly payroll for both union and non-union employees, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain all payroll records, including salaried, hourly, corporate benefits, and payroll adjustments.
- Process weekly union and non-union payroll for 400 employees.
- Process payroll changes, system upgrades, and communicate changes company-wide.
- Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
- Responsible for weekly certified payroll reporting, union, and/or prevailing wage calculations.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's preferred but not required.
- 5+ years of hands-on full-cycle payroll experience.
- Strong experience processing union payroll.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws governing reporting of wages, taxation, employee benefit administration, laws governing garnishments, withholdings from wages, taxation, and reporting requirements.
- Working knowledge of the Company's collective bargaining unit agreements for multiple union groups, including monthly reporting and payments.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
Salary Range:
$90,000 - $120,000
