Hydraulic Systems Specialist

At SunSource, we're seeking a skilled Hydraulic Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our hydraulic field service team, you'll be responsible for providing expert technical support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend advanced training within the hydraulic field to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques.
  • Create and document testing procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Train new and/or junior level hydraulic technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Provide hydraulic field service to off-site customers on an as-needed basis, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of issues.
  • Conduct intercompany training sessions to share knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
  • Coordinate workflow for the machine shop with the Production Manager to ensure seamless integration of services.
  • Participate in continuous improvement through training and associate material to stay ahead of the curve in the industry.
  • Able to read precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers at an advanced level.
  • Able to troubleshoot hydraulic systems and assist customers by phone or email.

  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation and diagrams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
