Market Manager Job Description

Cornerstone Bank is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Market Manager to join our team. As a key member of our retail banking team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development in our assigned market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute business development plans to promote the Bank's products and services.
  • Lead the branch in building trust with customers by identifying their financial goals and providing advice and guidance to help them meet their objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Relations Manager to establish and execute sales plans, coach the team on the customer experience framework, and achieve branch targets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and partners across business lines.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory compliance and ensure effective risk management and daily operations of the branch.
  • Lead by example in the use of bank technology and promote its adoption among the branch team.
  • Prepare and present reports on branch activity and goal/objective achievements.
  • Provide guidance to the Customer Relations Manager on hiring, coaching, and performance management of branch staff.
Requirements:
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Experience in prospecting and deepening relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Ability to build relationships with customers and develop partnerships across business lines.
  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop branch staff.
  • Registered Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) is required.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance.
  • Professional dress and demeanor.
  • Strong business development and sales skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Proficient with various computer software programs; experience with Insight, preferred.
  • Ability to use office equipment, including faxes, copiers, computers, and cellular phones.
  • Notary Public.
  • Signature Guarantee Medallion stamp certification.
Education/Training/Experience:
  • Associates degree or its equivalent plus specialized coursework and training.
  • A minimum of five (5) years progressive banking experience.
