Role of Facilities Management
The Facilities Management team plays a crucial role in maintaining a profitable business by ensuring that assets are functional and services are delivered promptly while minimizing vendor costs.

This team supports sales initiatives and manages expenditures, allowing store teams to concentrate on guest service without distractions. Facilities Management is involved in remodel projects, executes new setups, and enhances operational efficiency for both front and back of store activities.

Key Responsibilities
As a Facilities Management Supervisor, your role will encompass:

  • Collaborating with vendors to ensure timely project completion
  • Identifying and implementing preventative and corrective maintenance for all building assets
  • Guiding store teams to align project work with Facilities Management priorities and financial objectives
  • Managing various systems including Plumbing, HVAC, Refrigeration, Life Safety, Power Systems, and Electrical equipment
  • Assessing repair versus replacement needs while managing costs
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and Target guidelines

Daily Responsibilities
A typical day may include:

  • Understanding your impact on achieving store sales goals
  • Engaging with the team on workload priorities and project impacts
  • Utilizing technology to prioritize daily work orders
  • Evaluating store brand performance and vendor maintenance standards
  • Conducting proactive asset maintenance as assigned
  • Executing special projects and remodels in collaboration with store teams
  • Ensuring accountability for internal and external work orders
  • Training new team members and sharing best practices

Candidate Profile
We are looking for individuals who thrive in a dynamic and energetic environment. Key qualifications include:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic technical skills and experience with property assets
  • 12 years of technical education preferred in areas such as electrical, mechanical, carpentry, HVAC, or plumbing
  • Proficiency in operating power tools and equipment
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and ensure quality service
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
