Overview:
As a Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the facility to ensure a safe and clean environment for hotel guests, staff, and vendors. You will provide guidance and support to the housekeeping team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the housekeeping personnel, ensuring open communication, training, coaching, and performance feedback to maximize efficiency.
  • Conduct interviews, hire, train, and recommend performance evaluations, address issues, maintain open communication, and suggest disciplinary actions or terminations when necessary.
  • Supervise and assess the cleaning of guest rooms, turndown service, public areas, and back-of-house operations; ensure adherence to safety and sanitation standards to achieve high cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  • Delegate tasks to staff, considering special requests and focus areas to ensure a seamless housekeeping operation.
  • Distribute supplies to staff at the start of shifts to manage inventory and ensure availability while controlling costs.
  • Address guest inquiries, concerns, and issues to guarantee guest satisfaction.
  • Document items in the Lost and Found and respond to inquiries to maintain control and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Implement emergency training and procedures to safeguard the hotel, guests, staff, and company assets.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and be available for regular work hours.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience in housekeeping.
  • Ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move materials weighing up to 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Capability to navigate the building, bend, stoop, and reach to assist other staff members, such as room attendants and inspectors, as needed with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
