Job Summary

The Flying Locksmiths Seattle is seeking a highly skilled Access Control Technician to join our team. As an Access Control Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing access control systems, as well as providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair access control systems, including access control panels, door hardware, and other related equipment.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers on the use and operation of access control systems.
  • Conduct site visits to assess customer needs and provide recommendations for access control system upgrades or installations.
  • Collaborate with sales staff to identify new business opportunities and provide technical expertise to support sales efforts.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of all inspections, service calls, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Act as a project lead to ensure timely completion of projects and meet customer expectations.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical hands-on field experience in security solutions, access control, door hardware, and other skilled trades.
  • Strong knowledge of access control systems, including programming, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and materials.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with various access control systems, including Avigilon, Linear, S2, Lenel, and others.
  • Knowledge of CCTV systems, including Exacq, Avigilon, Axis, and others.
  • Experience with network systems, including Netgear, Dlink, and Ubiquiti.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
