Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload independently and efficiently, ensuring timely and effective case resolution.
  • Draft and respond to correspondence, including pleadings, financial disclosures, and mediation briefs.
  • Prepare and propound discovery, as well as respond to opposing counsel's requests.
  • Engage in telephone and in-person contact with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts, maintaining a professional and empathetic demeanor.
  • Take and defend depositions, prepare witness questions for evidentiary hearings, and conduct trials.
  • Track billable time and assist supervising attorneys in all phases of the practice.
Qualifications:
  • Must be admitted to and in good standing with the state bar.
  • 3 years of practicing Family Law, with a strong understanding of relevant laws and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, with the ability to handle sensitive family law matters with empathy and level-headedness.
  • Strong writing and legal research skills, with attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.
