Job Title: Child Development Home Visitor

Southwest Human Development is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Development Home Visitor to join our team. As a key member of our Healthy Families Program, you will play a vital role in empowering and supporting families in Maricopa County.

Job Summary:

The Child Development Home Visitor will provide home visiting services to children and their families, promoting child health and development, enhancing parent-child relationships, and increasing family self-sufficiency. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families and contribute to the well-being of our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement the Healthy Families model and curriculum with fidelity and follow all program and agency policies and procedures.
  • Conduct visits in a family's home and maintain a caseload of 15-25 families.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation, including electronic family records and billing reports.
  • Attend and participate in required virtual and in-person training and program meetings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community agencies and partners to share program information and learn about resources available for families.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement activities.
  • Engage in community outreach activities.
  • Administer screenings for parents and children.
  • Celebrate little and big successes along the way and be passionate about seeing children and families thrive.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma and 3 years of child development home visiting experience.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is required.
  • Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to perform assignments and job responsibilities efficiently, accurately, and on time.
  • Valid US state driver's license.
  • Reliable and registered vehicle with valid auto insurance.
  • Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card - OR - must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
