Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Education Support Assistant - Special Education to join our team. As an integral part of our special education department, you will play a vital role in supporting students with autism spectrum disorder in elementary and middle school classrooms.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in providing individualized support to students with special needs, promoting academic and social growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage students and foster a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure comprehensive support for students, including behavioral management and communication strategies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher (or equivalent work experience) required; relevant experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder strongly preferred.
  • Certification or training in areas such as Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rate: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
