Automotive Refinish Specialist

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a collision repair facility refinish role. They will be knowledgeable of manufacturers' repair/refinishing processes and adhere to Assured's processes. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, are necessary, as well as the ability to effectively interpret work scope from vehicle estimates or work orders.



Responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service, ensuring consistent execution of the WOW plan, and providing positive energy when interacting with customers or team members. The candidate will be accountable for ensuring all required line items as per the Repair Orders (RO) are completed to meet Assured's quality standards.



The Automotive Refinish Specialist will be responsible for refinish procedures according to factory specifications and Assured procedures. They will ensure all paint deficiencies are corrected through wet sand and polishing, and all formulations, preparations, top coating, and curing meet OEM recommended standards. They will also maintain efficient paint material cost as per Assured KPIs.



The ideal candidate will be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating multi-tasking ability while working under pressure. They will be required to bend, crouch, reach, handle tools, and lift approximately 51 lbs. They must also provide their own tools.



A competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, is offered, along with comprehensive benefits, including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, employer-paid short-term disability and life insurance, paid vacation and holidays, continuing education opportunities, and more.



Education and/or Experience Required


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years previous experience in a collision repair facility refinish role
  • Provincial College of Trades Member preferred
  • PPG Certification preferred
  • I-Car Registered (working towards Gold Class certification)


Required Skills/Abilities


  • Knowledge of manufacturers' repair/refinishing processes & adherence to Assured's processes
  • Ability to use selected vendor materials and general supplies efficiently and cost effectively
  • Demonstrated commitment to continued learning by attending Assured/Industry related training
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to interpret work scope from vehicle estimates or work orders
  • Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle repair practices
  • Effectively work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating multi-tasking ability while working under pressure
  • Frequently required to bend, crouch, reach, handle tools and lift approximately 51 lbs.
