Salary

The estimated hourly wage for this position is $22.50-$30.00, reflecting our commitment to equitable pay and transparency in our compensation practices.

Job Description

As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors and employees. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Determining donor eligibility and managing informed consent
  • Evaluating donor reactions and following SOPs for medical emergencies
  • Referring to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed for guidance on medical or technical issues
  • Supporting employee vaccination programs and managing employee incidents

You will work under the guidance of the Center Manager and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will be essential in maintaining our high standards of care.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate-level nursing program with state requirements
  • A current EMT-Paramedic license in the state where responsibilities will be assigned
  • CPR and AED certification
  • Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy
  • Satisfactory completion of FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
